Abstract

The rapid colorimetric method for thiram reported earlier [FSTA (1970) 2 10M902] has been slightly modified and extended to the analysis of 2 dithiocarbamates (ferbam and ziram). The proposed method is applicable to technical formulations and field-sprayed grains. Recoveries ranged from 91-35 to 100.50% for a ferbam formulation containing 85% active ingredient and from 88-06 to 100.00% for a ziram formulation containing 80% active ingredient. Recoveries from fortified samples were 93.69-99.56%.
