Abstract

General guidelines are presented for the organisation of a quality control system for the fruit and vegetable processing industry, to conduct analysis and testing of products in compliance with the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act and Fruit Product Order. Specifications, together with details for starting up such laboratories on a medium and small scale, are discussed.
