Additional Information: Studies conducted have indicated the scope that exists for developing an ecologically friendly method for recovering chitin and carotenoid from shrimp bio-waste. Efforts have been made to standardize and integrated approach for completely recovering the value added components like carotenoids, chitin and the nutrient rich fermentation liquor in the case of fermented shrimp biowaste.
