Abstract

A colorimetric method, involving the use of palladium chloride to form the stable metallic complex, was compared with the standard method of Norris et al. [Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry (1954) 2, 570] for estimating the malathion residues in rice and wheat samples. Results of analyses agreed well, with an error value of 0.33-2.3%.
