Abstract

Nutraceuticals and other natural health products have been well recognised in connection with health promotion, disease reduction and reduction in health care and costs. C. Longa, commonly known as turmeric, is a widely used medicinal plant of the family Zingiberaceae. The major bioactive components in turmeric are curcumin, turmerone, zingeberone etc.
