Abstract

This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: In this work we synthesized quasi spherical monodisperse water soluble gold nanoparticles and bioconjugated with biomolecules like BSA and IgY. Gold nanoparticles are characterized using spectrophotometer, XRD and SEM. The characterization helped in studying the properties of synthesized GNPs. At the same time we also characterized the bioconjugates like BSA-GNP and IgY-GNP using spectrophotometer, Spectrofluorimeter, agarose gel electrophoresis and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Using the data obtained from the above experiments we extensively studied the properties of gold nanoparticles and its bioconjugates essential for biosensor application.
Uncontrolled Keywords: Gold nanoparticles, BSA, IgY.
