Abstract

This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: SLM was developed by impregnating PTFE membranes into coconut oil and studied transportation of phenol. It was observed that there is no transportation of phenol without coconut oil impregnation of membranes, so being natural resources, cheaply available and non toxic oil is used as LM. The novel idea behind this study is newly designed SLM model which intend to minimize the pressure upon membrane so increase durability and no surface layer formation on the feed side, so resistance is also decreased.
